Obverse

On the obverse of the 2025 American Eagle Gold Coin, Augustus Saint-Gaudens beloved image of Liberty is proudly featured. In this scene, Liberty walks forward, a torch raised in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. Behind her, the U.S. Capitol Building and sun rays emphasize the patriotic nature of the design. The inscriptions here include LIBERTY and 2025.

Reverse

On the reverse side, the 2025 Eagle 1/4 oz Gold Coin showcases a striking left-profile view of a bald eagle, crafted by Jennie Norris. First introduced in 2021 to commemorate the Gold Eagles 35th anniversary, this design highlights the bold and noble character of the bald eagle, a symbol often associated with American strength. The inscriptions here read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, IN GOD WE TRUST, E PLURIBUS UNUM, 1/4 OZ FINE GOLD, and 10 DOLLARS.

History

The bald eagle has become an enduring icon in American culture, representing resilience and freedom. Its image appears on everything from national emblems to conservation logos, symbolizing core American values that transcend generations.
