{{/presale}}Introducing the captivating 2024 Somalia Elephant 1 oz Gold Coin! As part of the esteemed Somalia Elephant Series, this latest release boasts a mesmerizing new reverse design that offers a glimpse into the world of African elephant herds, showcasing gripping battles between male bulls. Provident Metals is excited to bring you the opportunity to own the 2024 Somalia Elephant 1 oz Gold Coin.
Highlights:
The 2024 Somalia Gold Elephant Coin celebrates an impressive two decades of this iconic series as the Somalia Gold Elephant, making it the 21st edition since its inception in 2004. Before adopting the Somalia name, the series was known as the Zambia Elephant, and it enjoyed five successful years. Produced by the renowned Bavarian State Mint, these coins underwent a transition with new reverse designs, while the nation of issue remained the only change between 2003 and 2004.
Obverse
Shifting our focus to the obverse, you’ll find the national coat of arms of Somalia, a symbol of pride and unity for the nation. The design showcases a crowned shield adorned with simple horizontal lines in the background, complemented by a single star at the center. Adding to the regal feel, the shield is supported on each side by a powerful leopard.
Reverse
Now, let’s return to the reverse, where the 2024 Somalia Elephant Gold Coin depicts a captivating scene of two male elephants engaged in a head-on clash. One elephant charges forward, flapping its ears, and raising its trunk and tusks in an incredible display of strength and dominance.
History
African bush elephants inhabit a wide range of habitats across sub-Saharan Africa, from dense forests to savannas and grasslands. They can be found in numerous countries, including Botswana, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Kenya, South Africa, and many others.
