All 2024 Morgan Dollar Silver Coins are offered here in perfect condition. Coins graded Mint State 70 exhibit full, original mint luster with no detracting flaws. Obverse
On the obverse of the 2024 Morgan Dollar Coins, you will see George T. Morgans depiction of Lady Liberty. This left-profile relief follows the classical Greco-Roman design themes of 19th-century American coinage. Liberty is shown wearing a Phrygian cap with a coronet and a laurel wreath. The inscriptions include E PLURIBUS UNUM, LIBERTY, and 2024.
Reverse
The reverse side of 2024 Morgan Dollar Silver Coins features another design by Morgan: a unique version of the heraldic eagle. The eagle is depicted in front-facing relief with its wings spread wide, holding arrows and an olive branch in its talons, symbolizing war and peace. Inscriptions include UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, IN GOD WE TRUST, and ONE DOLLAR.
History
The Morgan Silver Dollar, last minted for circulation in 1921, was designed by George T. Morgan. Invited to the United States by the US Mints Director, Morgan served as an Assistant Engraver and created the Morgan Dollar. In 1917, he succeeded Charles E. Barber as the 7th Chief Engraver of the United States Mint, a position he held until his death in 1925.
