Prominent figures like John Adams, Samuel Adams, George Washington, Patrick Henry, and Peyton Randolph played significant roles.

Obverse

The obverse of the 2024 Colorized The First Continental Congress 1 oz Silver Coins vividly portrays the delegates engaged in debate, capturing the essence of the Continental Association’s formation. This movement called for a boycott of British goods, non-importation agreements, and the establishment of local militias.

Reverse

On the reverse of the 2024 Colorized Mesa Grande The First Continental Congress Silver Coins, an American bald eagle proudly stands atop the Liberty Tree. Beneath its branches, colonists gather, emphasizing the importance of American liberties.

History

The Congress drafted and sent a petition to King George III, expressing loyalty to the Crown but protesting the unfair treatment of the colonies. They also issued the Suffolk Resolves, which urged Massachusetts to resist the Intolerable Acts and called for the boycotting of British goods.
