{{/presale}} {{#promotion_on}}With inspiration rooted in both myth and documented history, Pinehurst Coins launched the Legendary Warriors series to recognize historic leaders remembered for their strength and resolve. Each coin in this fifteen-piece collection is struck in 2 oz of .999 fine silver and features a detailed high-relief finish. The series honors figures such as Achilles, Alexander the Great, Spartacus, Joan of Arc, Genghis Khan, Geronimo, Sitting Bull, Leonidas, Miyamoto Musashi, and Hannibal. Right now, certified 2024 Antique Niue Joan of Arc 2 oz Silver Coins are available at Provident Metals.
Highlights:
Each 2024 Antique Niue Joan of Arc 2 oz Silver Coin is individually encapsulated in a slab and features the Legendary Warriors label. An MS70 grade from NGC confirms the coin displays full original mint luster without visible imperfections. The antique finish, selective 24-karat gold highlights, and high-relief strike work together to emphasize the intricate details of the design.
Obverse
The obverse design of the 2024 Antique Niue Joan of Arc Silver Coin displays the Public Seal of Niue surrounded by an arrangement of historic weapons. Niue, located in the South Pacific, operates in free association with New Zealand and is widely recognized for issuing legal tender commemorative coinage with limited mintages. The inscriptions include LEGENDARY WARRIORS, 2 OZ 999, FINE SILVER, 2024, and FIVE DOLLARS.
Reverse
On the reverse of the 2024 Antique Joan of Arc 2 oz Silver Coin, Joan is shown in armor with a sword in hand. Despite her early accomplishments, she was later captured and tried for heresy. She was executed in 1431 at the age of nineteen. Canonized centuries later in 1920, Joan remains an important figure in French history and a lasting symbol of faith and bravery. The inscriptions read JOAN OF ARC.
History
Born around 1412, Joan of Arc grew up in Domrmy, France. She believed she was guided by divine instruction and stepped forward during the Hundred Years War to support the French cause. At only seventeen, she secured an audience with the Dauphin and soon played a major role in the victory at Orlans in 1429. That success boosted French morale and helped lead to the crowning of Charles VII.
