Obverse

On the obverse of the 2024 American Eagle Gold Coin, you’ll find a captivating portrait of Lady Liberty. This iconic design by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, created in 1907, depicts Liberty striding forward with a torch in one hand and an olive branch in the other. The background features sun rays on the horizon, a ring of stars, and the U.S. Capitol Building. The inscriptions include LIBERTY, 2024, and the ASG signature mark.

Reverse

Flipping to the reverse side of the 2024 Eagle 1 oz Gold Coins, you’ll encounter a magnificent American bald eagle. Designed by Jennie Norris and introduced in mid-2021, this design offers a lifelike portrayal of the eagle in left-profile relief. The inscriptions read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, IN GOD WE TRUST, 50 DOLLARS, and 1 OZ. FINE GOLD.

History

For those seeking an investment, the BU coins are a reliable choice. Numismatists can explore the Proof and Burnished versions, with Proof Gold Eagles available in various weights and Burnished Gold Eagles exclusively offered as 1 oz gold coins since 2011.
