{{/presale}}Both feared and revered, the Golden Eagle dominates the skies as it soars over mountain peaks in the Northern Hemisphere. With its incredible wingspan and golden plumage, this magnificent bird of prey is a sight to behold. But if youre unable to spot one in nature, you can experience them on this dazzling new coin from Samoa instead. The first in a new series, these coins beautifully capture the commanding presence of these birds of prey. The 2023 Samoa Golden Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin can now be purchased online from Provident Metals.

Obverse
An effigy of Queen Elizabeth II is featured on the obverse of 2023 Golden Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins. Designed by Ian Rank-Broadley, this portrait showcases the Queen in right-profile relief. Upon her head, you will find her wedding gift from Queen Mary, the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara. Inscriptions on the obverse read SAMOA 2023, 1 OZ AG .999 2 DOLLARS.
Reverse
Two Golden Eagles are depicted on the reverse of 2023 Samoa Golden Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins. Occupying the majority of the field is a close-up view of one of the birds as it looks to the right. Then in the background, there is an additional bird depicted from a distance. Youll also find inscriptions along the coins border that read GOLDEN EAGLE, 1 OZ AG .999.
History
Because theyre solitary and not particularly social, Golden Eagles tend to stay away from the Eastern, more densely populated region of the United States. Instead, youll find them out West, where there are more open spaces and fewer people. Highly respected for its hunting capabilities, the Golden Eagle can reach a whopping 200 miles per hour when it swoops down to catch its prey. Generally, the Golden Eagle will feed on rabbits, hares, squirrels, and sometimes Carrion.
