{{/presale}}Introducing the remarkable 2023-S Proof Peace Silver Dollar Coins! The United States Mint brings you a revival of two cherished silver dollar designs the 2021 Morgan and Peace Dollars commemorating the centennial milestones. Now, in 2023, these special coins are back, including the stunning proof option, exclusively for collectors. You can now own these nearly flawless 2023-S Proof Peace Dollar Silver Coins, right here at Provident Metals.
Highlights:
The journey of the Peace Silver Dollar began in 1921 when the Philadelphia Mint introduced these coins. Later, the San Francisco Mint and the Denver Mint joined the production in 1922. Among different years, 1922 saw the highest mintage, with over 84 million coins created.
Obverse
The 2023-S Proof Peace Dollar’s obverse design showcases the radiant Lady Liberty. Created by Anthony de Francisci, his wife served as the model for this portrayal. Lady Liberty appears in left-profile relief, adorned with a luminous crown. Inscriptions include LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRVST, and 2023.
Reverse
On the reverse of the 2023 Proof Peace Silver Dollars, you’ll find a serene depiction of the American bald eagle at rest. The eagle is seen with its back to the viewer, perched on a cliff ledge while holding an olive branch in its talons. Inscriptions read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, ONE DOLLAR, PEACE, and the S mint mark.
History
The Peace Silver Dollar was issued in the hundreds of millions over the course of the 1920s and again in the mid-1930s. However, the coins saw relatively low circulation. Silver dollars were, at this time in American history, predominantly popular in the American West.
Ordering
These 2023-S Proof Peace Dollar Silver Coins are in superb condition, graded as PF69. They exhibit the original mint luster, with at most two minor imperfections. These flaws, if present, are minor and situated outside the coin’s central focus area, such as tiny contact marks or faint hairlines.
