History
Preceding the sun god Helios, the deity Eos ascended each morning in her chariot to bring light to the world. However, in some iterations, she is described as having wings instead of a flying chariot. Eos is part of a complex family tree that begins with Uranus Gaia and includes the Titans Hyperion and Theia, who are considered her parents. She was also known for suffering a curse of perpetual desire cast upon her by the love goddess Aphrodite as punishment for her affair with Ares, God of War.
