History
The concept of Yin & Yang is inspired by the ancient Chinese emphasis on the cyclical nature of reality. This cycle includes creation, entropy, destruction, and rebirth. Through this cycle, each facet of life is interdependent, creating rhythmic cohesion and harmony among all material realities. This original school of cosmology in ancient China is commonly attributed to Zou Yan, a philosopher born around 340 BC who lived in present-day Shandong.
