This iconic coin series showcases Britannia on the reverse and, up until recently, featured Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse. Following her passing in September 2022, King Charles III began appearing on British coins. In 2023, The Royal Mint released the final batch of Gold Britannias with Queen Elizabeth IIs image. Now,2023 British Britannia 1/4 oz Gold Coins are available at Provident Metals in perfect condition.

Each 2023 British Britannia 1/4 oz Gold Coin available here is in perfect condition. These Mint State 70 coins have full, original mint luster and no defects. The NGC certifies these coins as among the last 500 struck by The Royal Mint in 2023 with Queen Elizabeth IIs effigy before transitioning to King Charles III.
Obverse
On the obverse of the 2023 British Britannia Gold Coins, you will see Jody Clarks fifth-generation portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. She is depicted in right-profile relief wearing the George IV State Diadem. This is the fifth and final effigy of Elizabeth II on British coins. Inscriptions here include 25 POUNDS, ELIZABETH II, D.G. REG. F.D.
Reverse
The reverse side of the 2023 Britannia 1/4 oz Gold Coins features Britannia, the national female personification of Britain. Britannia has symbolized the British Isles since Roman times in the 1st century AD. The modern design shows her in a coastal setting, holding a trident, wearing a Corinthian helmet, and carrying an olive branch. Inscriptions here read BRITANNIA, 2023, 1/4 OZ, and 999.9 FINE GOLD.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. Most Provident orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
