History
In Egyptian mythology, the fearsome Apep, a serpent-like dragon demon, was known as the “Enemy of Ra” and symbolized darkness and evil. According to the tales, Apep would swallow Ra, the sun god, but Ra’s defeat of Apep brought light back to the world. Apep was depicted as a serpent but transformed more into a Dragon in his later years.
