Reverse
An American bald eagle graces the reverse of 2022-W Proof American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins. Emily Damstra created this design in 2020 and it debuted in 2021. It shows an eagle in flight with its wings flexed and its talons clutching a large oak branch. The inscriptions on this field of the coin include UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, 1 OZ. History
The Proof American Eagle Silver Coin is one of the US Mints best-selling coins. In 2021, the combined Type 1 and Type 2 Proof American Eagle Silver Coin sales surpassed 500,000, with each version selling in excess of 299,000 coins. This makes the 2021 release one of the highest minted since 2016. Continued demand is sure to see 2022 challenge that mintage mark as well.
