{{/presale}}In 2021, the United States Mint issued its first new design on the Proof American Eagles. After the split release of these coins in 2021, the 2022 release of Proof American Eagle Silver Coins comes with only Emily Damstras new reverse design. Provident Metals now has certified-perfect 2022-W Proof American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins available to purchase online.
Highlights:
When you purchase one of these 2022-W Proof American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins online at Provident Metals, you are buying a silver coin with a perfect certification. Coins in PR70 condition showcase full, original mint luster and come with no detracting flaws of any kind present. The DCAM label in the slab stands for deep-cameo and refers to the strong, frosted design elements, as well as the deeply-mirrored, clear fields. The First Day of Issue designation indicates these coins were received by the PCGS for certification within 24 hours of release from the US Mint.
Obverse
The obverse of 2022-W Proof American Eagle Silver Coins comes with Adolph A. Weinmans portrait of Liberty. Known as Walking Liberty, it shows the full-length figure of Liberty in left-profile relief as she walks toward the sun on the horizon with her right hand extended and her left carrying branches of oak and laurel. Inscriptions on this side include LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and 2022.
Reverse
On the reverse side of the 2022-W Proof American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin is an American bald eagle. In this design, the eagle is shown in left-profile relief as it swoops down into view with an oak branch in its talons. Inscriptions on this side of the coin read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, 1 OZ. FINE SILVER, ONE DOLLAR, and the W mint mark of the West Point Mint.
History
While the 2022 release isnt the first to feature the new reverse design from Emily Damstra, it is the first coin in the series to feature this design from start to finish. In 2021, the US Mint split its release between the original and new reverse designs. This year is all about the new reverse.
