{{/presale}}One of the most popular forms of the Proof American Eagle Silver Coin available are those specimens that have been certified by the PCGS or NGC. These coins have been carefully examined for flaws and other issues by these respective grading houses and then given a grade between 1 and 70. The most common grades for sale are perfect and near-perfect specimens. Today, you have the chance to get 2022-W Proof American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins online from Provident Metals in near-perfect condition.
Highlights:
In July 2021, the United States Mint issued the first-ever design overhaul for the American Eagle Coins. This included new visuals on the reverse of both the American Eagle Silver and American Eagle Gold Coins. Each metallic option got its own, distinctive new bald eagle design, with that design shared across the BU, Proof, and Burnished options in the respective series. In 2022, those designs take over full time for the first time in the history of the series.
Obverse
On the obverse of 2022-W Proof American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins is an effigy of Walking Liberty. This depiction shows Libertys left-profile figure walking toward the sun on the horizon. Liberty walks with the American flag draped around her figure, her right hand extended, and her left carrying branches of oak and laurel. The inscriptions on this field of the coin read LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and 2022.
Reverse
The reverse side of the 2022-W Proof American Eagle Silver Coin features an image of the American bald eagle. This new design from Emily Damstra shows the eagle in a slight left-profile relief as it raises its wings behind its figure and extends its talons while clutching a large oak branch.
History
Emily Damstra has extensive experience working with both the Royal Canadian Mint and the United States Mint, to name a few. Her previous works include designs in the Canadian Wildlife and Birds of Prey Series, as well as the America the Beautiful collection.
