{{/presale}}The coins of the Proof American Eagle Gold Series have been available since 1986, with the four weights rolled out between 1986 and 1988. In 2021, the United States Mint issued two versions of the Proof American Eagle as it transitioned between the original reverse and the new reverse on the 35th anniversary of the series. Right now, you can buy 2022-W Proof American Eagle 1/10 oz Gold Coins in perfect condition online from Provident Metals.
Highlights:
With your purchase of the 2022-W Proof American Eagle 1/10 oz Gold Coin online at Provident Metals, you will receive a coin that is in perfect condition. The PF70 grade assigned to these coins means that each one exhibits full, original mint luster with no detractions of any kind on the designs or fields of the coin.
UCAM designations are for ultra-cameo-proof coins with strong, frosted design elements and deeply-mirrored, clear fields. The Early Release label for these coins means the NGC received each coin for certifications within 30 days of release from the mint.
Obverse
The obverse of 2022-W Proof American Eagle Gold Coins comes with an image of Lady Liberty. This front-facing relief was designed in 1907 by Augustus Saint-Gaudens for the $20 Double Eagle Gold Coin. The field on these coins includes inscriptions of LIBERTY, 2022, and the W mint mark of the West Point Mint.
Reverse
On the reverse side of the 2022 Proof American Eagle 1/10 oz Gold Coin is a depiction of the American bald eagle. The design on this side depicts the stoic bald eagle as it gazes into the distance in left-profile relief. The inscriptions on this side of the coin read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, IN GOD WE TRUST, E PLURIBUS UNUM, 1/10 OZ. FINE GOLD, and 5 DOLLARS.
History
Jennie Norris is a member of the United States Mint Artistic Infusion Program. The design was first issued on Type 2 coins in July 2021 and is now the only design featured on the series. Miley Busieks original design for the reverse is now fully retired.
