Obverse
On the obverse of the coins in the 2022 Queen Elizabeth II JFK Half Dollar Set are two distinct images of Her Majesty. The Queen is seen wearing the Imperial State Crown in one design. This fully colorized display includes a purple background and inscriptions reading Queen Elizabeth Platinum Jubilee around the rim. The other design shows the Queen with the George IV State Diadem. You will also see the official emblem of the Platinum Jubilee printed on this side.
Reverse
The reverse design of 2022 Queen Elizabeth II Half Dollar 2-Coin Sets features a rendition of the Presidential Seal on both coins. This design shows the Heraldic Eagle clutching both arrows and an olive branch. The eagle is surrounded by a ring of stars. You will find inscriptions along the rim reading United States of America Half Dollar. This is the standard reverse image found on the Kennedy Half Dollar coins.
History
Queen Elizabeth II is arguably the most popular monarch in British history. One of her most appealing traits is her humility. She never planned to be Queen, yet when circumstances brought her to the throne, she accepted her new life with courage and equanimity. Despite the celebrity nature of the Royal Family, Queen Elizabeth is known and admired for her refusal to grant interviews, instead choosing to lead by example. From supplying aid during WWII to the over 600 charities and organizations she contributes to today, Queen Elizabeth II is viewed as a humanitarian icon and a model for living virtuously.
