Reverse

Above, it bears the inscription “OSCAR THE GROUCH,” while below, it carries the trademark and copyright for “Sesame Workshop.” The accompanying inscription “1oz Pure .999 Ag” proclaims the quality and weight of the piece’s silver content.
Obverse
The Sesame Street logo dominates the coin’s obverse side. It’s accompanied by the Independent State of Samoa’s official coat of arms, along with the inscriptions “SAMOA 2022” and “5 dollars.”
History
Oscar the Grouch made his first appearance on the educational children’s show Sesame Street in 1969. Ever since, the much-beloved puppet character has been one of the show’s most recognizable faces, comically dedicated to being grouchy and complaining to everyone around him. Over the years, kids have learned about the Grouch’s dedicated fondness for trash, have seen him come within a hair of getting married to a fellow-grouch — the couple only called the wedding off out of the concern that they’d make each other too happy and lose their signature grouchiness — and generally adored his hilariously sarcastic view of life.
