The 2022 Niue Faces of Gotham Two-Face Shaped Silver Coin 2022 commemorates an iconic and visually distinctive enemy of Batman, featuring brilliant color, pure silver, and fine sculpting. It ships in a themed box with a display window, ready to be showcased in any collection, along with a Certificate of Authenticity that specifies each coin’s unique position in the limited mintage. Your shipment comes fully insured by Provident Metals against even the remote possibility of loss or damage.

Obverse

A profile portrait of Queen Elizabeth II as designed by Ian Rank-Broadley dominates the coin’s obverse side, identifying it as legal tender of Niue despite its unusual shape. It’s surrounded by inscriptions of the regnal name, the coin’s face value and country of issue, and confirmation of its silver content and the trademark and copyright of DC Comics.

Reverse

Two-Face is one of the most colorful and visibly distinctive villains ever to square off with the foundational DC superhero Batman, his bifurcated face forming the coin’s reverse side. Light relief work, colorization, and shape all come together for the most possible visual impact.

History

Among the supervillains who battled Batman over the decades of the superhero’s career, Two-Face represented a mad obsession with the whims of chance: a once incorruptible lawyer marred by a Mob acid attack who became a criminal that decided the fates of his victims with the flip of a coin. Two-Face has been one of the Caped Crusader’s most long-running foes, appearing in almost every form of Batman-related media and sporting a distinctive appearance that has attracted countless artistic interpretations, of which this coin selects one of the most classic versions.
