{{/presale}}Among the most diverse gold coins in the world are the Mexican Libertad Gold coins. Offered by the Mexican Mint in BU, Proof, and Reverse Proof options, this series has been around since 1981, though it has enjoyed its most stable run of production as of 2002. One of the smallest, and most popular, coins in the series is the 1/10 oz gold coin. Today, you have the chance to get 2022 Mexican Libertad 1/10 oz Gold Coins online from Provident Metals.
Highlights:
The 1/10 oz gold coin in the Mexican Libertad Series has proven popular since its introduction in 1981. The highest recorded mintage for the Mexican Libertad 1/10 oz Gold Coin came in 1992 when it sold 50,592 coins. This is not an uncommon characteristic in this series. The 1 oz, 1/2 oz, and 1/4 oz gold coins all set individual mintage records in 1981, with the 1/10 and 1/20 oz coins setting records in 1992, just the second year of availability for those weights.
Obverse
On the obverse of 2022 Mexican Libertad Gold Coins, you will find a depiction of the Mexican coat of arms. The design shown here features the Mexican golden eagle in left-profile relief with raised wings. As it sits on the perch of a prickly pear cactus, it uses its talons and beak to battle a serpent. The field includes an oak-and-laurel wreath beneath the design, with ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS engraved above.
Reverse
The reverse face of the 2022 Mexican Libertad 1/10 oz Gold Coin features the image of Winged Victory. This design shows her figure in a slight left-profile relief. This image is based on the statue at the top of the Mexican Independence Victory Column in Mexico City. The field includes inscriptions of 1/10 ONZA, ORO PURO, 2022 LEY .999, and the OM mint mark of the Mexican Mint.
History
The 1/10 oz gold coin in the Mexican Libertad BU Series has been available since 1991. Aside from the 1995-1999 and 2001 date marks, the only missing date for this weight was 2012. That year saw only the 1 oz gold coin issued as all four fractional-ounce coins were suspended for the year.
