{{/presale}}The HMS Bounty is one of the most famous ships to sail the South Pacific. Unlike many of the famed shipwrecks of the South Pacific that befell misfortune by poor navigation or unexpected storms, the HMS Bounty wound up on the ocean floor at the hands of its crew. Provident Metals now has 2022 Cook Islands Bounty 1 oz Silver Coins available to you for purchase online.

When you purchase these 2022 Cook Islands Bounty 1 oz Silver Coins online at Provident Metals, you will receive coins packaged either individually or in bulk. Obverse
The obverse side of 2022 Cook Islands Bounty Silver Coin features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. In this right-profile portrait, Her Majesty is shown wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara on her head. This widely-used design appeared on British coins from 1998 to 2015, Australian coins from 1999 to 2018, and remains in use for nations like New Zealand, Niue, Tuvalu, Tokelau, and the Cook Islands. The inscriptions read ELIZABETH II, COOK ISLANDS, and 2022.
Reverse
On the reverse field of 2022 Cook Islands Bounty 1 oz Silver Coins is an image of the HMS Bounty. Built in 1784 as the Bethia, a private merchant vessel, the HMS Bounty was a three-masted rig that displaced 215 tons, making it among the smaller ships of the age for ocean-going voyages. The inscriptions on this face include 1 DOLLAR and 1 OZ FINE SILVER .9999.
History
The HMS Bounty was purchased by the Royal Navy to complete a botanical expedition. The Bounty and its crew were meant to sail from England to Tahiti, harvest breadfruit plants, and then sail to the Caribbean colonies of Britain. Upon departing Tahiti for the Caribbean, there was a mutiny among the crew. The captain and his supporters were put adrift in the ships rowboats as the mutineers then sailed for smaller islands in the South Pacific, eventually landing on Pitcairn Island. The HMS Bounty was scuttled here in an effort to hide its whereabouts from the Royal Navy.
