Today, you can get 2022 Canadian 25 Gram Gold MapleGrams online at Provident Metals.
Highlights:
The Royal Canadian Mint was able to introduce the Canadian MapleGram product lineup after 2014. This was the most recent year in which the RCM issued a new weight in the Canadian Maple Leaf Gold Series. The first coin was issued in 1979 and consisted of only a 1 oz gold option, while the 1 Gram gold coin was the most recent issue and debuted in 2014.
Obverse
On the obverse side of each 2022 Canadian Gold MapleGram is a depiction of Queen Elizabeth II. The longest-reigning monarch in British history, Queen Elizabeth II is the ceremonial sovereign of Canada and features in this fourth-generation portrait from Susanna Blunt. This is the second design in the series from a Canadian artist and the first design of her reign to lack a crown on her head. Inscriptions on this side read ELIZABETH II, 2022, and 50 CENTS.
Reverse
The reverse field of the coins in the 2022 Canadian MapleGram offers an image of the sugar maple leaf. This design was created in 1979 by Walter Ott and was first used that same year on the Canadian Maple Leaf Gold Coins. This design has continued to feature in the series, expanding to the silver, platinum, and palladium versions of the coin. Inscriptions on this face of the coin include CANADA, 9999, FINE GOLD, 1 G, and OR PUR.
History
The Canadian Maple Leaf Gold Coin debuted in 1979 with a 1 oz gold coin bearing .999 fine gold. In 1982, the first of many fractional-ounce coins were introduced as the Royal Canadian Mint also boosted the gold purity of the coins to .9999 fineness. Today, options include the 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, 1/10 oz, 1/20 oz, and 1 Gram gold coins.
Ordering
These 2022 Canadian 25 Gram Gold MapleGrams come with 25 individual 1 Gram gold coins sealed separately in a large blistercard. This blistercard is housed in an outer sleeve and comes with an assay card. The coins can be separated down to individual 1 Gram specimens or left together in the 25 Gram MapleGram card.
