The Kukulcan temple is located in Chichen Itza, a Mayan city that reached its heights in the 9th and 10th centuries. Located on Mexicos Yucatan peninsula, the city is perhaps most famous for the temple, which was included in 2000 New Seven Wonders of the World list. However, the city also contains the worlds largest tlachtli, which was a type of sporting field for ball games in pre-Columbian Mesoamerica.
