{{/presale}}American Eagle Gold Coins received an overhaul in 2021. For the first time in the history of the series, one of the design elements on the coins was altered to offer a fresh take. In the case of the American Eagle Gold Coin, that overhauled design was the American bald eagle on the reverse. Today, you have the chance to get near-perfect 2022 American Eagle 1 oz Gold Coins online at Provident Metals.
Highlights:
Certified American Eagle Gold Coins are those that have passed rigorous inspection with the NGC or PCGS. The graders at either company carefully examine individual coins for any flaws or damage and look at the quality of the design strike. Coins are then issued a grade on the Sheldon numeric scale from 0 to 70, with 70 representing a perfect coin. Mint State 69 is the next most-common designation.
Obverse
On the obverse of 2022 American Eagle 1 oz Gold Coins is Lady Liberty. This iconic design shows Liberty in front-facing relief surrounded by a ring of 50 stars, backed by sun rays, and with the U.S. Capitol Building at her feet. The inscriptions include LIBERTY and 2022.
Reverse
The reverse face of the 2022 American Eagle Gold Coin features a new design of the American bald eagle. Focused only on the head of the bird, the detailed design captures the many layers of its plumage with its keen gaze and hooked beak included. The inscriptions on this side read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, IN GOD WE TRUST, 1 OZ. FINE GOLD, and 50 DOLLARS.
History
American Eagle Gold Coins were issued in 2021 with the family of bald eagles design for the final time. This took place from January to June 2021, with this new design from Jennie Norris taking over in July 2021. In 2022, Jennie Norris design now takes over full control of the series as the lone face of the reverse field on American Eagle Gold Coins.
Ordering
