{{/presale}}The American Eagle Gold Series charted a new course in 2021 as it celebrated its 35th anniversary. The popular series of gold coins had a split issue in 2021, releasing coins in the first half of the year with the final strike of the original bald eagle design and then release coins in the second half of the year with the new bald eagle design from Jennie Norris. 2022 is all about the new bald eagle design going forward. Right now, you can buy 2022 American Eagle 1 oz Gold Coins in perfect condition online from Provident Metals.
Highlights:
With your purchase of a 2022 American Eagle 1 oz Gold Coin in this Provident Metals listing, you will receive a coin that is in perfect condition according to the NGC. Obverse
Liberty is found on the obverse side of 2022 American Eagle Gold Coins. The image of Liberty shown here is a front-facing relief in which she walks toward the viewer holding aloft a torch as she carries an olive branch. The background includes sun rays, the U.S. Capitol Building, and a ring of 50 stars around the rim of the field. Inscriptions read LIBERTY and 2022.
Reverse
An American bald eagle graces the reverse field of the 2022 American Eagle 1 oz Gold Coin. This depiction of the bald eagle captures the head of the aerial predator in left-profile relief. Its piercing gaze stares right back at you with its powerful beak captured in incredible detail.
History
The all-new bald eagle design on the reverse comes from Jennie Norris. Her design was chosen from a field of more than 30 entries to replace the 1986 design from Miley Busiek that had featured on the coins from 1986 to mid-2021.
