{{/presale}}The 2021 release of American Eagle Silver Coins is the final one in the history of the series to feature the heraldic eagle design. As such, the Congratulations Set from 2021 is the final packaging of these coins with the heraldic eagle on the reverse. Provident Metals currently offers 2021-W Proof American Eagle 35th Anniversary Congratulations Set 1 oz Silver Coins available to you for purchase online in perfect condition.
Highlights:
When you buy the 2021-W Proof American Eagle 35th Anniversary Congratulations Set 1 oz Silver Coin in this Provident Metals listing, you receive a coin originally released in the Congratulations Set with a presentation card. The bi-fold card is not available in this listing as the coins are housed in individual plastic slabs from the NGC. Each coin showcases full, original mint luster and bears no detracting flaws. The coins also have UCAM and First Release designations. An ultra-cameo coin is one with strong, frosted designs and deeply-mirrored, clear background fields. The First Release designation is for coins received by the NGC for grading within 30 days of initial release by the US Mint.
Obverse
Walking Liberty is featured on the obverse of 2021-W Proof American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins. The design shows Liberty walking toward the sun on the horizon in left-profile relief with the American flag draped over her shoulders. The inscriptions on this face read Liberty, In God We Trust, and 2021.
Reverse
For the reverse design of the 2021-W Proof American Eagle Silver Coin, the US Mint features the heraldic eagle design one last time. This final use features John Mercantis stunning, powerful depiction of the national seal. The bald eagle is in front-facing relief with its head looking left to the talon clutching the olive branch of peace. In the other talon, the eagle holds the arrows of war. With the US national shield on its chest, there is a triangular cluster of 13 stars above its head. Inscriptions on this side read United States of America, 1 oz. Fine Silver One Dollar, E Pluribus Unum, and a W mint mark from the West Point Mint.
History
By mid-2021, the United States Mint will deploy a new reverse design of the American bald eagle. John Mercantis heraldic eagle has been on the reverse of all versions of the coin since 1986.
