{{/presale}}The 2021 release of Proof American Eagle Gold Coins features all four weights in the series with both the Type 1 and Type 2 designs from the 2021 date mark. The all-new design element comes as part of the 35th anniversary of the series. The 2021 Proof American Eagle Type 2 Coins represent the future of the series as the new reverse image featured on these coins is the only visual youll find starting in 2022. Provident Metals now has 2021-W Proof American Eagle 1/10 oz Gold Coins in perfect condition available to you for purchase online.
Highlights:
When your purchase one of these 2021-W Proof American Eagle 1/10 oz Gold Type 2 Coins from Provident Metals, you will receive coins with a perfect certification. The NGC assigns a coin a grade of PF70 when it showcases full, original mint luster with no detracting flaws of any kind. The included UCAM designation found in the plastic slab means these coins have ultra-cameo proofs. This means that the coins have strong, frosted design elements with deeply-mirrored, clear fields. Early Release coins are those received for grading within 30 days of release from the mint.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2021-W Proof American Eagle Gold Type 2 Coin comes with the effigy of Liberty. This front-facing portrait of Liberty shown here was created in 1907 by Augustus Saint-Gaudens and shows her figure walking toward the viewer with a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. The field includes the U.S. Capitol Building in the background field with sun rays and a ring of 50 stars. The inscriptions on this side read LIBERTY, 2021, and the W mint mark of the West Point Mint.
Reverse
On the reverse side of 2021-W Proof American Eagle 1/10 oz Gold Type 2 Coins is an image of the bald eagle. In this design, the bald eagle is in left-profile relief as it gazes directly at you with one of its eyes. The plumage and hooked beak of the bird are also featured in great detail. The inscriptions on this face of the coin read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, IN GOD WE TRUST, E PLURIBUS UNUM, 1/10 OZ. FINE GOLD, and 5 DOLLARS.
History
The new reverse design element on these coins comes from Jennie Norris. She submitted this design as a member of the US Mint Artistic Infusion Program.
