{{/presale}}The 2021 release of American Eagle Silver Coins at the United States Mint includes all three versions of the coin, plus the all-new reverse image from Emily Damstra. The new bald eagle image went into production in mid-2021 and will be the future of the series as the only reverse element struck on the coins going forward from 2022. Today, you have the chance to get certified 2021-W Burnished American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins online from Provident Metals.
Highlights:
The new design on the reverse of 2021 Type 2 coins from the American Eagle Silver Series comes from Emily Damstra. Ms. Damstra has been a contributor in the US Mint Artistic Infusion Program for years and has extensive experience working with both the United States Mint and the Royal Canadian Mint on bullion coin designs.
Obverse
On the obverse of 2021-W Burnished American Eagle 1 oz Silver Type 2 Coins is an effigy of Liberty. Known as Walking Liberty, this design was created by Adolph A. Weinman in 1916. The left-profile image of Liberty depicts her figure walking toward the sun. She is carrying branches of oak and laurel while her figure is wrapped in the American flag. The inscriptions include LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, 2021, and the new AW signature mark of Weinman as originally used in 1916.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2021-W Burnished American Eagle Silver Type 2 Coin features the all-new bald eagle design. Created by Emily Damstra, this visual shows the bald eagle in flight as it carries a large oak branch in its talons. The inscriptions on this field of the coin read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, 1 OZ. FINE SILVER, and ONE DOLLAR.
History
Burnished American Eagle Silver Coins are available annually from the US Mint. The coins debuted in 2006, were issued until 2008, paused in 2009 and 2010, and returned to annual production in 2011.
