{{/presale}}In 2014, the Perth Mint introduced a now-popular high-relief series known as the Gods of Olympus. The collection was followed by a Goddesses of Olympus Series, both of which sold out entirely at the Perth Mint. The designs in the Gods of Olympus Series returned in 2020 with a depiction of Zeus leading off the new series. That design is now followed by an image of Poseidon in the second release. Provident Metals now has 2021 Tuvalu Gods of Olympus Poseidon 1 oz Silver Coins available to you for purchase online.

Obverse
The obverse of 2021 Tuvalu Gods of Olympus Poseidon Silver Coins offers a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. This is the fourth-generation effigy from the Royal Mint of England and was designed in 1998 by Ian Rank-Broadley. It depicts the Queen in right-profile relief wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara. Her effigy is surrounded by inscriptions of Queen Elizabeth II, Tuvalu 1 Dollar, 1 oz 9999 Ag, and 2021.
Reverse
On the reverse of 2021 Tuvalu Gods of Olympus 1 oz Silver Coins is a depiction of the god of the seas, Poseidon. The effigy of Poseidon depicts him on his horse-driven chariot as he clutches his trident in his right hand. The trident gave Poseidon the power to control the seas, allowing him to summon storms or even trigger earthquakes. Inscriptions on this face include only his name as POSEIDON.
History
Poseidon was one of the leading deities from Greek mythology. Prior to the rise of the Olympians, the gods inhabiting Mount Olympus, the Titans ruled the world. Poseidon, together with his brothers Zeus and Hades, defeated the Titans to wrest control of the world from the Titans. Those sons took over the three major lots of the world: Zeus the sky, Poseidon the sea, and Hades the underworld.
