Highlights:
With your purchase of the 2021 Solomon Islands Bull v Bear 2 x 1 oz Silver Coin Set at Provident Metals, you will receive coins housed in a custom capsule. The interlocking coin set and capsule are set within a pop-up presentation case and ship with a themed outer shipper. The coins can also be separated to keep the bull and bear apart.
Obverse
The obverse of each coin in the 2021 Solomon Islands Bull v Bear Silver Coin Set features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The right-profile portrait from Ian Rank-Broadley was created in 1998 for the Royal Mint and has been widely used throughout the Commonwealth. Her Majestys effigy is immediately surrounded on each coin by inscriptions of Solomon Islands, 2 Dollars, 1 oz Ag 999.9, and Elizabeth II. Each coin has its own unique background field, with stock graphs behind Her Majesty on the obverse of the bull and index listings behind her effigy on the bear coin. Both coins have the individual weight, purity, and metal content noted a second time in the background field, along with a date mark and a unique serial number. The serial numbers are noted as #0001, for example.
Reverse
On the reverse of each coin is a depiction of the bull or the bear. The separable coins show the rampaging nature of the bull with the overwhelming power of the bear. When interlocked together, the two forces of nature meet in an epic clash.
History
The bull and bear are often cited as opposing forces in the stock market. During good economic times, it is said that the bull is in charge as markets enjoy strong gains. Conversely, during downturns in economic fortunes, it is said that the power of the bear has put the bull in check and swatted back gains with its powerful paws.
