{{/presale}}The Solomon Islands Animals of Africa Series is a new collection of shaped silver coins with low mintages and reverse-proof visuals. The coins in this series launched with the image of the deadly Nile crocodile. With that design already sold out at the mint, the second image in the series debuts with one of the continents most fearsome land predators: the lion. Provident Metals offers the 2021 Solomon Islands Animals of Africa Lion Shaped 1 oz Silver Coin to you for purchase online.
Highlights:
When you purchase a 2021 Solomon Islands Animals of Africa Lion Shaped 1 oz Silver Coin in this Provident Metals listing, the coins you receive come with a custom capsule. The coin and its custom capsule are packaged inside of a themed shipper and come with a Certificate of Authenticity from the mint. Obverse
Queen Elizabeth II features at the center of the obverse on the 2021 Solomon Islands Animals of Africa Lion Shaped Silver Coin. The Queens effigy shown here comes from Ian Rank-Broadley and was initially designed for the Royal Mint of England in 1998. The design includes the Queens head in right-profile relief with the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara. The inscriptions on this face of the coin include ELIZABETH II, SOLOMON ISLANDS, 2 DOLLARS, 2021, 1 OZ 999.9 AG, and the unique serial number from 0001 to 2500.
Reverse
An African lion is on the prowl in the reverse design of 2021 Solomon Islands Animals of Africa Lion Shaped 1 oz Silver Coins. The design element captures the raw power of the sleek lion as it ambles along the savanna. The thick mane common to the male lion is featured within the shape and design of the coin.
History
As recently as the Neolithic Period of Earths history, lions roamed throughout the entirety of the African continent, Southeast Europe, the Caucasus, Western Asia, and South Asia. Today, lions are only found in the wild in patches of sub-Saharan Africa and a small habitat in Western India.
