{{/presale}}The Proof American Eagle Silver Coins from the United States Mint are struck each year by the United States Mint. The mint currently in charge of striking the coins each year is the West Point Mint. However, the San Francisco Mint was the location originally in charge of producing the coins. Provident Metals now has certified near-perfect 2021-S Proof American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins available to you for purchase online.
Highlights:
When you purchase a 2021-S Proof American Eagle 1 oz Silver Type 2 Coin through this Provident Metals listing, you will get a coin with a near-perfect certification. Coins with a PR69 grade showcase full, original mint luster with a maximum of two minor flaws. These detractions are limited in nature to minuscule contact marks or hairlines and limited in scope to the areas outside of the primary focal points of the coin. First Strike coins are those received for grading within 30 days of release from the mint.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2021-S Proof American Eagle Silver Type 2 Coin features the effigy of Walking Liberty. Designed in 1916, it depicts the full-length Liberty figure in left-profile relief with her right hand outstretched and her left carrying the branches of oak and laurel. The inscriptions on this face read LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, 2021, and the original AW signature mark of Weinman, a new feature with the Type 2 release.
Reverse
On the reverse side of 2021-S Proof American Eagle Silver Type 2 Coins is the new design from Emily Damstra. This new visual shows a bald eagle as it swoops down into view carrying a large oak branch in its talons. The inscriptions on this face of the coin include UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, 1 OZ. FINE SILVER, ONE DOLLAR, and the S mint mark from the San Francisco Mint.
History
The San Francisco Mint was the first to issue any version of the American Eagle Silver Coin. Introduced in 1986, the BU coins were struck at San Francisco until 1998 and the Proof coins until 1992.
