Midway through the year, both metals received a new reverse design, resulting in two different versions of the 2021 Silver Eagle. One coin continued with the long-standing reverse, while the second introduced a refreshed design. This 2-Coin Designer Set brings both 2021 releases together in a reverse proof finish. Highlights:
Each 2021 Reverse Proof American Eagle Silver 2-Coin Designer Set includes two coins graded PF70 by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation and housed in slabs with the classic NGC Blue Label. A PF70 grade indicates a coin with full mint luster and no visible imperfections. First Day of Issue coins were delivered to NGC for grading within 24 hours of their official release. The reverse proof finish highlights mirrored design details against frosted backgrounds.
Obverse
The obverse of both coins in the 2021 Reverse Proof American Eagle 2-Coin Designer Set features Walking Liberty. Designed in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman, this image was first seen on the Walking Liberty Half Dollar and continues to be one of the most recognized designs in American coin history. The inscriptions include LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and 2021.
Reverse
The reverse designs set these two coins apart in the 2021 Reverse Proof Eagle Silver 2-Coin Designer Set. The Type 1 coin displays the traditional heraldic eagle created by John Mercanti. The Type 2 coin presents the new bald eagle in flight, designed by Emily Damstra. The inscriptions read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, ONE DOLLAR, and 1 OZ. FINE SILVER.
History
The updated reverse design was officially selected in 2020. Emily Damstras flying eagle concept was chosen from more than 35 different submissions. She has worked with both the Royal Canadian Mint and the United States Mint and is a contributor through the US Mints Artistic Infusion Program.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
