Because the new artwork was released halfway through the year, collectors saw two different reverse designs on 2021 Silver Eagles. One version continued with the original reverse, while the second showcased the newly selected image. This 2-Coin Designer Set offers both of those 2021 releases together in a reverse proof finish. Today, certified 2021 Reverse Proof American Eagle Silver 2-Coin Designer Sets are available from Provident Metals.
Highlights:
Each 2021 Reverse Proof American Eagle Silver 2-Coin Designer Set is packaged in a two-coin slab and carries PF69 grades from the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation. Coins with this grade display full, original mint luster and may have no more than two small imperfections. These slight flaws can include tiny contact marks or faint hairlines found outside the main focal points. The reverse proof finish gives the coins mirrored design elements with frosted background fields for a distinct look.
Obverse
The obverse of the coins in this 2021 Reverse Proof American Eagle 2-Coin Designer Set features the Walking Liberty design. Created in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman, the image originally appeared on the Walking Liberty Half Dollar and continues to be used on todays Silver Eagle coins. The inscriptions here include LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and 2021.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2021 Reverse Proof American Eagle Silver 2-Coin Designer Set coins includes two different designs. The Type 1 coin shows John Mercantis heraldic eagle, while the Type 2 coin displays Damstras soaring bald eagle design. Inscriptions here read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, ONE DOLLAR, and 1 OZ. FINE SILVER.
History
Emily Damstra created the new soaring bald eagle design selected in 2020 as the updated reverse for the Silver Eagle. Her artwork was chosen from more than 35 design submissions reviewed by the United States Mint. Damstra has previous experience with both the Royal Canadian Mint and the United States Mint and is a member of the Artistic Infusion Program.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
