{{/presale}}The 2021 release of commemorative silver at the United States Mint included a once-in-a-lifetime collection of silver coins. In 1921, the US Mint issued the Morgan Dollar for the final time. In 2021, the US Mint issued centennial silver bullion coins with those same designs in honor of the mints that issued the coins in the 19th and 20th centuries. Today, certified-perfect 2021 Morgan Dollar Silver Coins are available to you for purchase online.
Highlights:
Morgan Dollar Silver Coins were issued by the United States Mint consecutively from 1878 to 1904, and again one final time in 1921 when silver dollar coining resumed. Only the Philadelphia Mint and the San Francisco Mint issued the coins in every one of these date marks. The Philadelphia Mint was the most prolific coiner of the Morgan Dollars. The 1878 release from Philadelphia included more than 10 million coins, while an astonishing 44 million coins were released in 1921
Obverse
On the obverse side of 2021 Morgan Dollar Silver Coins is a left-profile bust of Lady Liberty. In this design, she wears a Phrygian cap, a laurel wreath, and a coronet crown with LIBERTY inscribed on the crown. There are 13 stars on this side of the coin, with seven along the left rim and six along the right rim. Inscriptions include E PLURIBUS UNUM and 2021.
Reverse
The reverse field of 2021 Morgan Dollar Silver Coins shows the heraldic eagle of the United States from George T. Morgan. The eagle spreads its wings as it clutches the arrows of war and the olive branch of peace, with a wreath of oak and laurel below. Inscriptions on this side read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, IN GOD WE TRUST, and ONE DOLLAR.
History
The Philadelphia Mint historically issued Morgan Dollar Silver Coins without a mint mark, the only one of the five mints to issue the coins without a mint mark. As such, these Morgan Silver Dollar commemorative bullion coins also lack a mint mark.
