The 2021-D Morgan Dollar Silver Coin MS69 Varied Label PCGS or NGC can currently be purchased online from Provident Metals.
Coin Highlights:
The 2021-D Morgan Dollar Silver Coin MS69 Varied Label PCGS or NGC was manufactured by the Denver Mint and struck in 99.9% pure silver. The coin does not contain any mint marking of the Denver Mint on either side. The MS69 grading from the NGC or PCGS indicates that this coin is considered near-perfect and has a maximum of two minor flaws. These flaws are only acceptable as tiny contact marks or minuscule hairlines and must be located outside the primary focal point of the coin.
All orders from this Provident Metals listing are filled randomly based on available inventory. If you are ordering more than one coin, you may receive matching label markings.
History
Produced in 1878, the Morgan Silver Dollar Coin Series originally ran for 26 years through 1904. The collection paused for almost two decades and eventually made a comeback in 1921. Because the Denver Mint did not open until 1906, this United States Mint branch didn’t help to manufacture these coins until 1921.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2021-D Morgan Dollar Silver Coin shows the left-facing effigy of Lady Liberty. Lady Liberty has always been considered an important symbol of United States patriotism and has been incorporated into this design by George T. Morgan. The design shows Lady Liberty wearing three garments in her hair, including a laurel wreath, a Phrygian cap, and a coronet crown.
Reverse
George T. Morgans heraldic eagle design is seen on the reverse of the 2021-D Morgan Dollar Silver Coin. This eagle design was originally inspired by the federal seal of the United States. In the image, the eagle is shown with its wings outstretched and holds a bunch of arrows to represent war and an olive branch to represent peace
