Obverse
The obverse side of the 2022 Cook Islands DC Comics Collection Batman Silver Coin features an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. This design was first released in 1998 on British coins as the fourth-generation portrait from the Royal Mint. The effigy shows the Queen wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara. The design field includes inscriptions of 10 DOLLARS, COOK ISLANDS, AG 999 2021 2 OZ, and ELIZABETH II.
Reverse
On the reverse field of 2022 Cook Islands DC Comics Collection Batman 2 oz Silver Coins is a depiction of the Dark Knight. In this design, Batman is shown near the ledge of a building as he swoops one of his cape wings around to the front of his figure. This field of the coin has selective 24-karat gold plating over the Batman logo on his chest and the inscription of BATMAN along the top rocker.
History
The 2022 DC Comics Collection Batman Coin is the first release in the new DC Comics Series for the Cook Islands. The coins have an antique polish throughout both fields with the aforementioned gold-plating on the reverse.
