{{/presale}}The Quetzalcoatlus may have died out around 66 million years ago, but it remains one of the largest animals to ever take flight in recorded history. The Quetzalcoatlus inhabited North America during the Late Cretaceous Period and was named for the Quetzalcoatl, a feathered serpent god from Aztec mythology. Right now, you can get 2021 Colorized Congo Quetzalcoatlus 1 oz Silver Coins online from Provident Metals.

Obverse
For the obverse design of the 2021 Colorized Congo Quetzalcoatlus Silver Coin, the mint features the seal of the Democratic Republic of Congo. This emblem was adopted by the nation in 2006 and is based on symbolism from at least three recent versions of the coat of arms. The seal features a leopard head at the center with an elephant tusk on the left and a spear on the right. This is all set on a slab of granite. The field includes inscriptions of REPUBLIQUE DEMOCRATIQUE DU CONGO, JUSTICE PAIX TRAVAIL, 1 OZ AG 999.9, and 20 FRANCS.
Reverse
In the reverse field of 2021 Colorized Congo Quetzalcoatlus Silver Coins is a depiction of the namesake dinosaur in flight. From the Pterosaur species, the Quetzalcoatlus is shown here as it flies above a beautiful mountain setting with a river running through the terrain. The inscriptions on this side include PREHISTORIC LIFE, CRETACEOUS 145-66 MIO YEARS BC, JURASSIC 200-1145 MIO YEARS BC, and TRIASSIC 250-200 MIO YEARS BC. Within the design field, there is an additional inscription of QUETZALCOATLUS, 72-66 MIO YEARS BC, and 2021.
History
The Quetzalcoatlus was a massive flying animal with a wingspan that could reach up to 42.65 feet across. However, it was not necessarily a heavy creature. The average weight of a Quetzalcoatlus, based on fossil records, ranges from 70 to 200 kilograms, or 154 to 440 lbs.
