{{/presale}}Canadian Maple Leaf coins are available from the Royal Canadian Mint annually in gold, silver, platinum, and palladium. While the availability of platinum and palladium coins has ebbed and flowed, the gold and silver coins have been issued every year since introduction by the mint. One of the best ways to purchase secure Canadian Maple Leafs is with the MintID packaging card. Right now, you can get 2021 Canadian Maple Leaf 1 oz Gold Coins online from Provident Metals.
Highlights:
Provident Metals is happy to offer the 2021 Canadian Maple Leaf 1 oz Gold Coin to you in this listing with encrypted MintID packaging. The coins are all in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and housed in capsules at the center of the MintID certificate card. This card features the MintID logo on both sides, with an encrypted NFC microchip built into the card that can be scanned using the MintID mobile app. To use the MintID app, make sure your device is running iOS 13.0 or later or Android 4.2 or later.
Obverse
The obverse of 2021 Canadian Maple Leaf 1 oz Gold Coins features a bust of Queen Elizabeth II. This bust of the Queen was created in 2003 by Susanna Blunt. In this right-profile portrait, the Queen is shown without a crown on her head for the first time in a Canadian coin portrait. Ms. Blunt is only the second Canadian artist to ever design a monarch portrait for national currency. The inscriptions on this face of the coin include Elizabeth II and 50 Dollars 2021.
Reverse
On the reverse side of the 2021 Canadian Maple Leaf Gold Coin is a design of the national emblem of Canada. Used as early as the 17th century as an emblem for villages and trading posts in Canada, today the sugar maple leaf is the official emblem of the nation. It features on governmental emblems and is on the national flag. The inscriptions on this side read Canada, 9999, and Fine Gold 1 oz Or Pur. On this side of the coin is a micro-laser engraved maple leaf privy mark. The final two digits from the date mark, “21,” are found at the center and only visible with the assistance of magnification.
