{{/presale}}The Royal Mint of England has introduced a range of different collections in recent years, from its Music Legends Collection to the Queens Beast Series. In 2019, it introduced a design series that has since grown to include a number of additional options beyond its original release. The largest coin currently available in the series is a 10 oz silver coin. Today, you have the opportunity to purchase 2021 British Royal Arms 10 oz Silver Coins online from Provident Metals.
Highlights:
The Royal Arms of England Series debuted in 2019. When the series debuted that year, the coins were offered only in 1 oz gold and silver. In 2020, the series expanded with several new options. The gold collection gained a 1/4 oz coin to go alongside the 1 oz gold coin, and the silver series gained these 10 oz silver coins as an additional option with the 1 oz silver coin. 2020 also saw the introduction of a 1 oz platinum coin.
Obverse
On the obverse field of 2021 British Royal Arms 10 oz Silver Coins is the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. This portrait of the Queen is the fifth-generation version to feature on British coins during her long reign as Queen of England. Created by Jody Clark, it depicts the Queen in right-profile relief with the impressive George IV State Diadem Crown upon her head. Set against a background field of guilloche lines, the design is accompanied by inscriptions of 10 Pounds, Elizabeth II, and D.G. Reg. F.D.
Reverse
The reverse side of 2021 British Royal Arms Silver Coins includes the image of the modern Royal Arms. The Royal Arms of England represents the monarchy and the member states of the United Kingdom. The shield is quartered and boasts the Three Lions of England in the first and fourth quadrants, the Lion of Scotland in the second, and the Harp of Ireland in the third quadrant. The shield is topped by the Imperial State Crown and supported on the left by the Lion of England, and on the right by the Unicorn of Scotland.
History
The Royal Arms was first adopted in 1198 by Richard the Lionheart, also known as King Richard I of England. His personal shield, the Three Lions, was adopted as the kingdoms first official Royal Arms. It has been modified countless times to reflect land claims by the English crown and the monarch sitting on the throne.
