{{/presale}}The newest coin collection from the Royal Mint of England combines new security features with a stirring set of designs honoring the heroes of English folklore. The Myths and Legends Series is a planned three-coin release with gold and silver options available to investors. The series starts with the 2021-dated design of Robin Hood, the hero of Sherwood Forest and defender of the poor. Provident Metals now offers the all-new 2021 British Robin Hood 1 oz Silver Coin to you for purchase online.
Highlights:
When you purchase a 2021 British Robin Hood 1 oz Silver Coin in this listing at Provident Metals, you will receive a coin that is the first in a brand-new collection from the Royal Mint. Each coin is presented in an individual protective plastic flip or an acrylic tube of 25 silver coins. Boxes are available for multiples of 500 with a total of 20 tubes inside. All coins in this release are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Notably, each coin features a new micro-dot texture in the reverse background field for visual contrast and greater security against counterfeiting.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2021 British Robin Hood Silver Coins depicts Queen Elizabeth II. Created in 2015 by Jody Clark, this design element has been in use on British coins since the release of 2016-dated specimens. The effigy is the fifth of Her Majesty during her reign and comes with a vision of the George IV State Diadem Crown on her head. The inscriptions on this face include 2 Pounds, Elizabeth II, and D.G. Reg. F.D.
Reverse
On the reverse of these 2021 British Robin Hood 1 oz Silver Coins, you will find Jody Clarks first design in this new series. Here, Robin Hood is featured kneeling on the branch of an oak tree in Sherwood Forest. He has drawn back an arrow in his bow and is waiting for the right moment to let fly. The inscriptions on this side read Robin Hood, 1 oz, Fine Silver, 999, and 2021. Mr. Clarks JC initials are also featured on this field.
History
Robin Hoods lasting impact is one of caring for the vulnerable members of society. Finding his own lands taken by the Sheriff of Nottingham and Prince John attempting to usurp the crown from his brother, King Richard I, Robin Hood fights against greed by stealing from the rich to give to the poor. He is supported in this endeavor by his band of Merry Men who fight alongside him in Sherwood Forest.
