History

2021 brings with it four new security features on Royal Mint Britannia Gold Coins. In the background field of the reverse, wavy, textured lines have been added that actually replicate rolling seas as you move the coin around. The same is true of the small security mark to the left of Britannias trident. As you move the coin, the security mark adjusts to display either a trident head or a padlock. There are tincture lines on the Union Jack on Britannias shield and a micro-text engraving on the rim around the immediate design field.
