Each coin has a ruthenium plating covering the entire background on the obverse and reverse sides. The design elements on the obverse have varying colorizations, while the reverse field has a gold-plated design superimposed over the heraldic eagle image. The four coins are housed together in a display box and come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
Obverse
In the obverse design of the 2021 American Eagle Year of Peace Edition Four Seasons Silver Coin Sets, you will find the historic design of Walking Liberty. This design was created for the US Mint back in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman. The classic image of Liberty walking toward the sun draped in the American flag has four different colorization options in this set reflecting spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Everything from the colors in Libertys dress and the condition of the branches in her hands to the climate of the landscape beneath her feet is different to capture the snow-covered landscape of winter or the warm, lush conditions of summer. Inscriptions on this side read Liberty and 2021.
Reverse
For the reverse field of 2021 American Eagle Year of Peace Edition Four Seasons Silver Coin Sets, you will find a depiction of the heraldic eagle of the United States in the background. The heraldic eagle was modified for this release in 1986 by John Mercanti. The heraldic eagle design is covered on this face of the coin by four different symbols of peace recognized around the world. The symbols include a dove, the peace symbol, the peace hand sign, and a peace pipe. Each one of these symbols is set above the heraldic eagle and finished with a 24-karat gold application. The inscriptions here include United States of America, E Pluribus Unum, and 1 oz. Fine Silver – One Dollar.
