{{/presale}}The 2021 American Eagle Silver Series will go down as one of the most unforgettable in the history of the series. The date mark not only represents the 35th anniversary in the series, but also marks the start of a new era as a brand-new reverse design is unveiled for the first time ever. However, the US Mint split its production capacity for the coins across the year with 2021-dated coins bearing the original designs through June, and the new designs debuting in July. Right now, you can buy 2021 American Eagle 1 oz Silver Type 2 Coins in perfect condition from the First Day of Production online at Provident Metals.
Highlights:
Provident Metals is pleased to offer these special 2021 American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins to you for purchase today. The PCGS has certified each one of these coins as a perfect specimen. Coins with a Mint State 70 grade exhibit full, original mint luster and have no detracting flaws of any kind on the design elements or fields of the coin. Moreover, these coins are guaranteed by the PCGS to be First Day of Production coins in the Type 2 range. This means that each one was struck on the first day in late June 2021 or early July 2021 when the US Mint began striking new Type 2 coins for the first time.
Obverse
Walking Liberty remains on the obverse of 2021 American Eagle Silver Type 2 Coins. This classic design from Adolph A. Weinman shows Liberty in left-profile relief as her full-length figure is draped in the American flag. She walks from right to left toward the sun as it rises over a mountain on the horizon. The inscriptions on this face include LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and 2021.
Reverse
An American bald eagle is found on the reverse side of the 2021 American Eagle 1 oz Silver Type 2 Coin. This all-new design shows the bald eagle descending into view with its wings flexed behind its back and its talons holding an oak branch. Inscriptions read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, 1 OZ. FINE SILVER, and ONE DOLLAR.
History
The all-new bald eagle design on the reverse comes from Emily Damstra. A member of the US Mint Artistic Infusion Program, her design credits on bullion coins include designs from the Canadian Wildlife and Birds of Prey series at the Royal Canadian Mint, as well as designs from the America the Beautiful Series at the US Mint.
