{{/presale}}The American Eagle Silver Coin release in 2021 features Type 1 and Type 2 coins. These monikers refer to the early release of 2021-dated coins with the original design combinations featuring the heraldic eagle, Type 1, and the later issue of 2021-dated coins with the new bald eagle reverse from Emily Damstra, Type 2. Today, you have the opportunity to get near-perfect 2021 American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins online from Provident Metals.
Highlights:
Emily Damstra is the US Mint Artistic Infusion Program artist who created the new reverse design of the American bald eagle. Her previous work includes contributions to major programs at two of the largest sovereign mints in the world. She worked on the Canadian Wildlife and Birds of Prey Series at the Royal Canadian Mint, and has recently contributed two designs to the America the Beautiful Series at the United States Mint.
Obverse
On the obverse of 2021 American Eagle Silver Type 2 Coins is an effigy of Walking Liberty. This design was created in 1916 and featured on the US half dollar until 1947. Adolph A. Weinmans original AW initials now feature on the coins as a signature mark, just as the initials featured on the original 1916 design. Inscriptions read Liberty, In God We Trust, and 2021, along with the AW initials.
Reverse
The reverse face of 2021 American Eagle 1 oz Silver Type 2 Coins comes with the new design from Ms. Damstra. In this all-new image, the American bald eagle swoops downward with its powerful wings flexed behind it and its sharp talons gripping an oak branch. The inscriptions on this side include United States of America, E Pluribus Unum, and 1 oz. Fine Silver One Dollar.
History
The American Eagle Silver Coin has never had a major design overhaul in its 30-plus year history. Since 1986, Walking Liberty has featured on the obverse. Up through the early release of Type 1 2021-dated coins, John Mercantis heraldic eagle is found on the reverse.
