{{/presale}}The American Eagle Gold Coin Series hits an important milestone in 2021 with the 35th-anniversary release of the gold bullion coins. The United States Mint first issued the coins in 1986 and has never drastically altered the design of the coins. For the first time that will change as a new design comes to the reverse in mid-2021. However, there is still a chance to get the final date mark with the original design combinations by purchasing early 2021 American Eagle Gold Coins. Right now, you can get 2021 American Eagle 1 oz Gold Coins online at Provident Metals in perfect condition.
Highlights:
Provident Metals offers you a 2021 American Eagle 1 oz Gold Coin in this listing that earned a perfect certification from the PCGS. Coins in Mint State 70 condition exhibit full, original mint luster with no detracting flaws of any kind present. The First Strike designation is reserved for coins the PCGS receives for grading that arrive within the original 30-day window following release by the US Mint.
Obverse
Lady Liberty features on the obverse side of 2021 American Eagle Gold Coins. This design was created back in 1907 by Augustus Saint-Gaudens. It was revived in 1986 by the US Mint for use on this coin and modified slightly to include 50 stars, rather than the 48 stars present in the design when it was last used in 1933. The image of Liberty is a front-facing design that shows her whole figure as she walks toward the viewer with a torch in one hand and an olive branch in the other. Inscriptions on this face of the coin read Liberty and 2021.
Reverse
American bald eagles are depicted as a family unit in the reverse design of 2021 American Eagle 1 oz Gold Coins. The design element includes a male eagle swooping in above the nest with a branch in its talons as a female eagle shelters a hatchling under her wing within the nest. The inscriptions on this side include United States of America, E Pluribus Unum, In God We Trust, and 1 oz. Fine Gold 50 Dollars.
History
The US Mint is set to change the reverse design of the American Eagle Gold Coins by mid-2021. This is not only the 35th anniversary of the series, but will be the only date mark to this point with two different design combinations.
