Obverse

This image of Lady Liberty was created in 1907 and originally featured on the $20 Double Eagle Gold Coin until 1933. The image depicts Liberty as she walks toward the viewer with a torch in her right hand to light the way and an olive branch in her left hand symbolizing peace. Rays of sunshine frame her figure from behind as the US Capitol Building is shown near her feet in the distant background. Inscriptions here include Liberty and 2021, with a ring of 50 stars around the design element.
Reverse
On the reverse side of 2021 American Eagle Gold Coins is a depiction of a family of American bald eagles. In this design, the male eagle returns to the nest with a branch in its talons to help build upon the family home. In the nest, a female eagle extends its wing to shelter a young hatchling. The inscriptions on this side include United States of America, E Pluribus Unum, In God We Trust, and 1 oz. Fine Gold 50 Dollars.
History
Since 1986, the American Eagle Gold Coins have featured the same obverse and reverse designs. these 2021 American Eagle Gold Coins are the final ones in the series to release with the original reverse design. As part of the 35th anniversary, the US Mint will debut a new reverse design of the American bald eagle by mid-2021.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies.
