{{/presale}}The American Eagle Gold Series has long featured the same design combinations on the obverse and reverse. Since its 1986 debut, Lady Libertys effigy on the obverse has been partnered with the design of a family of American bald eagles in the nest on the reverse. With the 2021 American Eagle Type 2 release, a brand-new design now graces the reverse. Right now, you can buy 2021 American Eagle 1/10 oz Gold Coins online from Provident Metals in perfect condition.
Highlights:
With your purchase of the 2021 American Eagle 1/10 oz Gold Coin in this product listing at Provident Metals, you will receive a coin that has been certified Mint State 70 by the NGC. Obverse
Lady Liberty is featured on front-facing relief on the obverse of 2021 American Eagle Gold Coins. This design from Augustus Saint-Gaudens was created in 1907 and features Libertys full-length figure. She is walking toward the viewer holding up a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. Inscriptions on this face of the coin include LIBERTY, 2021, and the initials of Augustus Saint-Gaudens below the date mark.
Reverse
An American bald eagle is depicted in left-profile relief on the reverse of 2021 American Eagle 1/10 oz Gold Type 2 Coins. This all-new design comes from Jennie Norris and showcases the natural splendor of the national symbol of the United States. Every detail of the bird is captured with exceptional brilliance and the arrangement of inscriptions includes UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and IN GOD WE TRUST in a half-moon array above the eagle. Below the design of the eagle are inscriptions of 5 DOLLARS and 1/10 OZ. FINE GOLD.
History
Jennie Norris is a graphic designer, professor at the University of Arizona, and a member of the United States Mint Artistic Infusion Program. Her design of the bald eagle was chosen from a collection of more than 30 possible options to be the new reverse of the American Eagle Gold Coin.
