{{/presale}}The 2020 release of Proof American Eagle Gold Coins from the United States Mint included the issue of a special version of the coin with a beautiful V75 privy mark. This privy mark was issued on the coins in honor of the 75th anniversary of the conclusion of World War II. Proof American Eagle Gold Coins in this release were limited to an initial mintage of just 1,945 coins, with even fewer certified perfect options available. Today, you have the opportunity to purchase 2020-W V75 Privy Proof American Eagle 1 oz Gold Coins in perfect condition online from Provident Metals.
Highlights:
The design of the V75 Privy Mark found on the obverse of these 2020 Proof American Eagles is a special one. The shape of the privy mark is inspired by the Rainbow Pool, a reflecting pool on the National Mall in Washington D.C. The Rainbow Pool was built in the 1920s and renamed the Rainbow Pool in 1924. Fast-forward to 2001, and the Rainbow Pool was the site upon which the federal government decided to build the new National World War II Memorial. The pool was integrated into the memorial.
Obverse
Lady Liberty is found on the obverse of 2020-W V75 Privy Proof American Eagle 1 oz Gold Coin. This design was created in 1907 by Augustus Saint-Gaudens and features the image of Lady Liberty walking toward the viewer. She holds up a torch to light the way while carrying an olive branch in her left hand. The US Capitol Building is present at her feet, with rays of sunshine emerging from the horizon in the background and a ring of 50 stars around her. Inscriptions include Liberty, 2020, the W mint mark of the West Point Mint, and the aforementioned privy mark.
Reverse
American bald eagles are featured in the reverse design of the 2020-W V75 Privy Proof American Eagle Gold Coin. This design was created in 1986 by Miley Busiek exclusively for this coin series. It shows a male eagle soaring over the nest with a branch in its talons as a female eagle shelters the young hatchling within the nest. Inscriptions on this side read United States of America, In God We Trust, E Pluribus Unum, and 1 oz. Fine Gold 50 Dollars.
