{{/presale}}In honor of the upcoming release of the 25th feature film in the James Bond franchise, mints around the world have been issuing coins to celebrate. The Perth Mint of Western Australia has been at the forefront of this movement. One of its popular releases, the 007 Gold Coin, is now available with a limited issue of presentation cards. Provident Metals currently has 2020 Tuvalu James Bond Series 007 1 oz Gold Coins available to you online.
Highlights:
When you purchase a 2020 Tuvalu James Bond Series 007 1 oz Gold Coin from Provident Metals, you will receive a coin that is housed in a black presentation card. This card has a deep-black field with the gun-barrel design in the lower-right corner honing in on the gold coin in the capsule space. With an original mintage of 5,000 coins in this design, just 500 of those coins are available with these presentation cards.
Obverse
The obverse side of the 2020 Tuvalu James Bond Series 007 Gold Coin features a bust of Queen Elizabeth II. The effigy of the Queen shown here was created in 1998 by Ian Rank-Broadley and depicts Her Majesty with the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara. The design includes inscriptions of Queen Elizabeth II, 100 Dollars, Tuvalu, 2020, and 1 oz 9999 Gold.
Reverse
On the reverse field of 2020 Tuvalu James Bond Series 007 1 oz Gold Coin is a depiction of the gun-barrel design from Joseph Caroff. The design has been used in every feature film in the Eon Productions series of movies at some point during the opening or closing sequences of the films. The design here includes the 007 logo.
History
Conceived by writer Ian Fleming in 1953, James Bond made the jump to the big screen in 1962 with the release of Dr. No. Sean Connery was the first man to fill the shoes of Bond on the big screen, taking on the role in the first five films of the franchise, six of the first seven films in the franchise, one film in each of the decades from 1960 to 1980, and the only many to feature in both Eon Productions films and non-Eon Productions films. Filling the role seven times in all, only Roger Moore has portrayed Bond as many times as Connery. The current actor in those shoes is Daniel Craig, who will make his fifth appearance as James Bond in the anticipated release of No Time To Die.
